Wow, on checking todays news in Nepals newspaper, I noticed the “EURO 2008-Countdown-Banner” in the top of the right column. Especially interesting, as the Euro 2008 is this year in Austria and Switzerland. I am going to check, if there are live-broadcasts of the soccer-games in this country. This could work, as time-difference is +3.45 hrs. and this time is still OK for the audience to watch it. Interesting.
Landed in Vienna on Sunday morning. Went to BILLA buying some milk, bread and butter. Not much, but was wondering paying 16 EUR. Then going by taxi from the airport at home and paying the normal fee of around 40 EUR.
So, all in one 56 EUR! I have not spent the last week so much on accomodation, food and drinks…
Incredible…
So and here are some short videos from India napolis, put in a playlist on youtube. Taken with my snapshot-camera to give some imaginations… not more…
The GPS-tool worked very well, although I have not turned it always on this time. So, here is a GPS-summary about the places I have visited in India.
I am impressed, I succeded in my primal plans going from Delhi to Kathmandu. I did not plan going up to Kashmir and down west to Kolkata. This worked due to travelling at night and flights from and to Kathmandu. All together I passed about 6.000 km in India and Nepal - quite a lot…

Back in Vienna, this is sad. Everything went well, this is good.
Now sleeping, washing clothes, checking my backpack and feeling happy about the things I brought with me… And a T-Shirt from Kolkata Knight Riders…
Flying from Kathmandu to Delhi I saw some mountains which are higher than 8000 m. Unfortunally the weather last days was not good to do a “Everest Flight” - so, this is one of the only “Himalaya-Pictures”.
It was great, seeing those mountains, where you don’t expect mountains above the sky…
This was in the area of Pokhara - maybe Annapurna or so…
Having some chilling days in Kathmandu. Visiting temples and the city and going by bus and riksha to some other interesting places. Kathmandu is interesting. It has got a big number of bars, clubs, restaurants, shops, internet-cafes… There are a lot of asia-live-bands playing in the clubs on the roof bars at night (until 10 or 11 PM) music from bob marley, guns’n'roses, u2, lenny kravitz with their old hits. A lot of other travellers and local youths.
Kathmandu differs a lot from India - even the people seem to have a different mindset. It is cleaner, and the younger people are more “western” dressed (sneakers, t-shirt- trouser, sunglasses)… But still not forget the poorness of the people here. There is again a big big gap between modern live-music-shisha-clubs and the street, which is separated by security-guards…
